HOW TO APPLY FOR UPSC IES ISS Examination 2023

Step 1 – Visit the official UPSC website.

Step 2 – Click on the Examination Notification section.

Step 3 – Now, click on the Apply Online button available under the Indian Economic Services Exam section.

Step 4 – You will be redirected to a new page where you have to start filling your application form. Read the important instructions and fill in all the details and submit them.

Step 5 – You will need to upload various documents while filling the application form like the photograph, signature and id proof of the candidate. The candidates can use the tools  for this purpose.

Step 6 – Once you have duly filled the application form and paid the application fee, submit it in Part II .

Selection Process 2023

The Stage- 1 selection process of UPSC IES ISS Examination 2023  is given below.

  1. The Stage-1 exam consists of multiple-choice questions (objective) as well as descriptive type papers.
  2. The common papers to both Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service on General English and General Studies will be of subjective type.
  3. The question papers in all subjects will be of Conventional (essay) type. 
  4. Candidates must be aware that the question paper will be in the English language and candidates will have to write in English only.
  5. The total number of questions asked in the General Studies and General English are 200
  6. An individual marking of Statistic-I/II/III/IV is given in the tabular format.
  7. Statistic I, II, & III are an objective type of paper. Whereas, Statistic IV is descriptive in nature.
  8. Blue/Black ball pen should be used on OMR sheet
